Week 29: The Five-Fold Ecosystem
Anchor Scripture: “And He Himself gave some to be… prophets… for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry…” — Ephesians 4:11–12 (NKJV)
The Teaching
One of the primary reasons Jesus gave the “Gift of the Prophet” to the Church was not so the Prophet could do all the prophesying, but so the Prophet could equip the saints to do the work of ministry. Your office carries an Activation Anointing.
Many prophets mistake their mandate for a “performance mandate”—they think they are there to “show” their gift to the people. But your true mandate is an “Empowerment Mandate.” You are called to be an “Ear-Opener” for the Body of Christ. When you stand in the midst of a congregation, your presence should naturally “wake up” the prophetic potential in the people.
Activating the saints means you are teaching the average believer how to hear, recognize, and respond to the voice of the Good Shepherd. You are removing the “spirit of deafness” from the pews. A mature prophet doesn’t want to be the “source” for the people; they want to be the “coach” who leads the people to the Source. Your success is not measured by how many people follow you, but by how many people start hearing God for themselves because they were under your ministry.
Prophetic Insight
A Prophet who keeps people dependent on their “accuracy” is a Prophet who is building a cage, not a Church. If you enjoy being the “only one” who can get a word for a situation, you are operating in a spirit of Prophetic Control. But a true Prophet loves the Democratization of Revelation. You should want every child, every grandmother, and every businessman in your church to be “prophetically literate.” Your job is to create a “Prophetic Culture” where the supernatural is normal and everyone knows how to tune into the frequency of Heaven (Day 96). You are the “Incubator” for the gifts of others.
The Activation
Identify someone in your life who is “spiritually shy”—someone who thinks they could never hear from God. Today, perform an act of Activation. Instead of giving them a word, ask them a question: “If you were to guess what God is feeling about you right now, what would it be?” Encourage them to trust the first positive thought that enters their heart. Share a simple tip with them on how you personally hear the Holy Spirit. Aim to leave them more confident in their hearing than they were in your gift.
Daily Prayer: Lord Jesus, I thank You for the mandate to equip the saints. I repent for any time I have fostered dependency on my own gift. I ask for the ‘Activation Anointing’ today. Use me to wake up the ears of Your people. Let my voice be a catalyst that releases the prophetic potential in those around me. I choose to be a coach and an encourager. Let Your Body be full of light and full of hearing. Amen.
