Week 15: The Language of the Seer (Dreams & Visions)
Anchor Scripture: “And He who sat there was like a jasper and a sardius stone in appearance; and there was a rainbow around the throne, in appearance like an emerald.” — Revelation 4:3 (NKJV)
The Teaching
In the natural world, color is simply light vibrating at different frequencies. In the spirit realm, the same principle applies, but with even greater significance. God is light (1 John 1:5), and when that light is refracted through the “prism” of the prophetic office, it often manifests as specific Spiritual Hues.
In the visions of Ezekiel, John, and Zechariah, color is never accidental. The “emerald” rainbow, the “sapphire” throne, and the “red, white, and black” horses are all visual shorthand for spiritual realities. To be a Seer is to realize that colors carry “weights” and “meanings”:
- Blue: Often represents the prophetic, the heavenly realm, or revelation (Exodus 24:10).
- Red: Symbolizes the blood of Jesus, sacrifice, war, or redemptive passion.
- Gold/Yellow: Represents the glory of God, divinity, and the refining fire of the Spirit.
- White: Symbolizes purity, holiness, and the victory of the saints.
- Green: Represents life, growth, mercy, and new beginnings.
When you see a color in a dream or a vision, it is often God’s way of identifying the “flavor” of the message. If you see a person clothed in purple, He may be speaking of their royal identity in Christ. If you see a “gray” atmosphere, He may be pointing to confusion or a lack of clarity.
Prophetic Insight
Colors are the “emotions” of the Spirit. Just as we use colors to describe our natural moods (feeling “blue” or seeing “red”), God uses colors to describe His divine “pathos” (Day 20). Sensing a color is a high-level form of discernment. You may walk into a church and “see” or “sense” a gold hue, signaling that the Glory of God is resting there. Or you may see a “black” cloud over a city, signaling an area of spiritual oppression. Do not be afraid to ask, “Lord, why is this vision this color?“ The hue is the “adjective” that describes the “noun” of your revelation. It adds depth and specific intent to what you are seeing.
The Activation
In your quiet time today, close your eyes and ask the Holy Spirit to show you a “color” for your current season. Don’t think about it; just wait for a hue to appear in your “Inner Eye” (Day 95). Once you see it, ask the Lord: “What does this color represent for me right now?” Look up biblical uses of that color and see how it aligns with your journey.
Daily Prayer: Lord God, I thank You that You are the Father of Lights. I thank You for the beauty and the meaning of the colors of Your Spirit. I ask for the grace to see and sense the ‘hues’ of Heaven. Forgive me for being color-blind in the Spirit. Open my eyes to the sapphire of Your throne and the emerald of Your mercy. Let the colors of Your Kingdom bring clarity and depth to my prophetic sight. Amen.
