And some stood up and were bearing false witness against Him, saying, We heard Him say, I will destroy this temple (sanctuary) which is made with hands, and in three days I will build another, made without hands. Still not even [in this] did their testimony agree.
Mark 14:57-59 AMPC
Good morning fellow disciples.
Even when they tried to use Jesus’ words to condemn Him their testimonies still could not agree! When people lie, invariably we will figure it out if they talk long enough or if they repeat the lies because sooner or later, they will say something to show that what they’re saying is untrue.
Have you ever caught someone in a lie?
Have you ever been caught telling a lie?
Let us listen carefully to the testimonies of persons.
Let us listen carefully to the messages that person bring to us.
Let us listen carefully to the teachings and preaching that we hear from others.
In all that we hear there is some semblance of truth, but we need to know when the witnesses are false and when the stories that they’re telling are half-truths and lies.
Let us be vigilant, let us be observant and let us be discerning in our conversations with others!
