A Conversation With Jesus About His Prophetic Utterance Part 3

Many will come in [appropriating to themselves] the name [of Messiah] which belongs to Me [basing their claims on the use of My name], saying, I am [He]! And they will mislead many. Mark 13:6 AMPC

Good morning fellow disciples.

One way that persons will be misled is by persons claiming to be the Son of God. This title: “Son of God”, Messiah, Christ belongs to only one person. This person is Jesus Christ of Nazareth who was born of a virgin, lived a sin free life, preached the good news of the Kingdom of Heaven, who died for our sins, was resurrected and, is now seated at the right hand of God in heaven.

Since His death and resurrection, many have claimed to be Him and have led many persons astray. We also need to be careful that no one will mislead us or our loved ones by such an erroneous claim.

How do we do this?

We come into personal relationship and fellowship with God, allow His Holy Spirit to lead us and teach us, and live our lives in obedience to His Word and His will.

What are three things that we can do in order to not be led astray?

1. Read the Scriptures daily and ask God’s Holy Spirit to give us the true interpretation!

2. Know, and obey the commandments of the Lord Jesus Christ! And,

3. Live our lives the way that the Lord Jesus Christ did while He was here on earth!
