Mark 5:34 NLT- And he said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace. Your suffering is over.”
Good morning, fellow disciples.
The woman in this story had been suffering from a bleeding problem, for which she had sought help from many physicians and had spent everything that she had. However, she still had not gotten better. In fact, she had gotten worse.
She decided to exercise her faith in the healing Jesus. She didn’t even ask Him to heal her. She thought to herself that if I could only touch the hem of His garment, I will be healed. Not only did she think it, but she also put it into action, and as soon as she touched the hem of His garment, she was healed from her malady.
When confronted by Jesus, she made the confession. Jesus’ response was, “Daughter, your faith has made you, well, go in peace. Your suffering is over!”
What have you been suffering from? What have you been suffering through?
What have you done in order to escape your suffering?
Maybe you’ve tried everything that you know of. Maybe you have prayed or attended healing services, but you still are suffering from your ailment?
The question, based on this woman’s story is: “HAVE YOU EXERCISED YOUR FAITH IN GOD?”
Have you!
Prayer: Father God, we have come to You many times with our requests, but we really do not have the faith that You will deliver us. We are not like the woman in this story. We have not exercised faith in You.
We know that You can heal us, but we are waiting on You to heal us instead of reaching out to You and receiving healing from You based on our faith.
God, I need my suffering to be over today! I reach out in faith to touch You now! Amen.
