“You should not have entered the gate of My people In the day of their calamity. Indeed, you should not have gazed on their affliction In the day of their calamity, Nor laid hands on their substance In the day of their calamity. You should not have stood at the crossroads To cut off those among them who escaped; Nor should you have delivered up those among them who remained In the day of distress.” Obadiah 1:13 -14 NKJV
Good morning fellow disciples.
Have you thought of doing something evil to someone? Have you persecuted someone wrongly? Have you made someone’s situation worse by refusing to help them? Have you refused to pray for someone when God clearly told you to ? Have you refused to share your testimony when Holy Spirit lead you to? I could give many other examples, but you should realize by now that acting in these ways was not right.
YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE acted in those ways! Yesterday we spoke about ‘Bad neighbor, bad brother’. Today we see some more of the things that Edom did that were unkind to Israel. Are you guilty of doing things that “you should not have done”? I know that I am!
As I think back on the decades of doing things that I shouldn’t have, and on the many persons that I have hurt in the process I am aware that God is not pleased with the way I lived my life. I wonder, is it too late to apologize and make restitution to those persons? Let us pray this prayer together.
Prayer : Father God, I know that I have sinned against You by doing the things that I should not have done. I know I have hurt others by doing what I should not have done. Father God, I repent of my sins toward You and them, and ask You to forgive and cleanse me.
I will seek out those whom I have hurt and ask for their forgiveness and make restitution where necessary. For those who I will not be able to find I pray that they have forgiven me. I pray for healing, wellness, wholeness, and prosperity for those I have wronged. I pray that they will know Your Love and Your salvation.
Bless us all and make us all a part of Your Family, and unite us all for eternity. Amen
Amen. Thank the Lord God for this charge this morning. I’m blessed by it. Blessings
Amen. Indeed a thought worth pondering. Thanks for sharing
