While You Wait

Therefore, dear friends, while you wait for these things, make every effort to be found at peace with Him without spot or blemish.
2 Peter 3:14 HCSB

Good morning fellow disciples.

Wait: To rest in expectation and patience.

The promises of God are sure! He will fulfill them in His appointed timing. We rest in expectation and patience for their fulfillment. While we wait, we are encouraged to make every effort to be found at peace with Him without spot or blemish.

In order to be found at peace with God and without spot or blemish we have to accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and savior, and live according to His teachings and the commandments of God. It is that simple!

However, sometimes we have to struggle to maintain that peace and cleanliness. After all, we are in a fight with the devil and our flesh to maintain our right standing with God. When we sin by yielding to the devil or by putting our fleshly desires above that of God, we lose the peace and the cleanliness.

We therefore need to make every effort to defeat the devil at his schemes! We need to make every effort to crucify our fleshly desires! We need to make every effort to obey God in all things!

Are you making every effort to defeat the devil?

Are you making every effort to crucify your fleshly desires?

Are you making every effort to be obedient to God in all things?

Prayer: So, my beloved friends, with all that you have to look forward to, may you be eager to be found living pure lives when you come into his presence, without blemish and filled with peace. 2 Peter 3:14 TPT
