But there’s far more to life for us. We’re citizens of high heaven! We’re waiting the arrival of the Savior, the Master, Jesus Christ, who will transform our earthy bodies into glorious bodies like his own. He’ll make us beautiful and whole with the same powerful skill by which he is putting everything as it should be, under and around him.
Philippians 3:20-21 MSG
Good morning fellow disciples.
Wait: To stay or rest in expectation; to stop or remain stationary, till the arrival of some person or event.
Have you been living your life knowing that there is something far better for you? You go about your daily life living in the expectation that the better that you know is yours will soon arrive.
Jesus promised us that when He went to heaven He would go and prepare a place for those of us who believe in Him, and that He would return and take us there. The reality is that we are citizens of the kingdom of God, but right now we live in a place that is hostile to that Kingdom.
Jesus has changed, is changing, and will change everything for us if we will only trust Him. He has made it possible for us to be reconciled to God the Father. He is preparing a place for us to live with Him in the future. And as this passage states, He’s going to come for us and transform us into perfected beigns like Him.
Isn’t that amazing? Yes, yes it is!
Do you live in this expectation?
Do you want to be like Jesus?
Do you want to be a part of his kingdom?
Are you living your life now waiting and expectating for Him to return and take you to your new home?
Prayer: Father God, there’s far more to life for us.
Thank You Lord Jesus for all you have done, are doing, and will do for us. Glory! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Amen!
There is a rich reward awaiting us as we wait on God.
