Wait to be Exalted

By Andrew Williams

Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, so that in due time He may exalt you.
1 Peter 5:6 BSB
Wait to be Exalted

Good morning, fellow disciples.

Wait is defined as: “to remain stationary in readiness or expectation.”

Are you waiting to be exalted by Almighty God?

God wants to think and speak very highly of you. God wants to raise you to a higher rank or position. God will exalt you at the appointed time, but is there something that will delay this?

What posture are you taking while you are waiting to be exalted?

This verse tells us that we need to humble ourselves under God’s mighty hand. Are you doing that?

Are you humble?
Are you not proud or haughty: not arrogant or assertive in God’s presence?
Are you reflecting, expressing, or offering yourself in a spirit of deference or submission to God?

If you are truly humbly surrendered and submitted to God, and trying to live in complete dependence on Him, then in due time GOD WILL EXALT YOU!

Prayer: Father God, I will not be proud or haughty. I will not be arrogant or assertive in Your presence. I submit and surrender totally to You, my God. Help me to live in complete dependence on You.

I do not seek gain. I do not seek to be mighty. I only seek to serve You. My life is complete, just living in Your presence and doing Your will. Whenever You choose to exalt me, I will be happy, but for now I am just happy being Your loving, devoted disciple. Amen.
