The following day he arrived in Caesarea, where Cornelius was expecting them and had called together his relatives and close friends.
Acts 10:24 BSB
Good morning, fellow disciples.
Wait is defined as: “to remain stationary in readiness or expectation.”
Do you want to know God?
Do you crave an encounter with Him?
Are you at a place in your discipleship walk that you need more instruction, more counseling, or more impartation?
Have you been going to church, prayer meetings, listening to teachings on the internet but not finding what you need? Have you been faithfully serving your church and community, but you feel as if there is more to your discipleship walk?
God sees how faithful you are my fellow disciple! He will fulfill the desires of your heart!
In this story Cornelius was faithfully serving God and His people. God recognized him and sent Peter to speak to him. While Cornelius was waiting on Peter, he called others to come and wait with him for the man of God’s arrival. The summary: Peter came, spoke God’s word, and all who were waiting were filled with God’s Holy Spirit!
Are you waiting on the man that God will send to help you? While you Wait in expectation, keep on doing the things that please God.
Prayer: Father God, thank You for the people that You have sent into our lives to bring Your Word to us. Thank You for the gift of Your Holy Spirit, and Your angelic visitations.
As we wait for You to give us encounters with You and for blessings from You, we will continue to faithfully serve You and Your people, in Jesus’ name, amen.
Waiting is HARD !! But i believe Cornelius inspire us not to wait passively, but with expectation and invite others to do the same.
