In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know how we ought to pray, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groans too deep for words.
Romans 8:26 BSB
Good morning, fellow disciples.
Wait is defined as: “to remain stationary in readiness or expectation.”
There are times in our lives when we need to pray, but we are so weak, so weary, or so distraught that we can’t even make the effort to pray. In those moments we either ask someone to pray for us, or God ‘miraculously’ sends someone to pray for us.
For those of us who have God’s Holy Spirit residing in us the other option is for The Holy Spirit to pray on our behalf.
We have God’s assurance that His Holy Spirit will intercede on our behalf. Is there anyone better than Holy Spirit who can make intercession for us? No, no there is not!
He knows the mind of God. He knows our deepest desires. He knows what we truly need. He is not limited by human vocabulary. He is in constant communication with God the Father and God the Son.
Are you actively waiting on the Holy Spirit to show up in your prayer life?
Are you actively remaining stationary in readiness or expectation for the Holy Spirit to show up in your prayer life?
Remain expectant! He is the best precant/prayer warrior you will ever have!
Prayer: Holy Spirit, thank You for interceding on my behalf. I sometimes don’t know how to pray. I sometimes don’t have the strength to pray but I know that You will always be here with me. With You interceding on my behalf, all will be well. Thank You for being here in my times of need. Amen.
