Wait Here For Us

And he said to the elders, “Wait here for us until we come back to you. Indeed, Aaron and Hur are with you. If any man has a difficulty, let him go to them.”
Exodus 24:14 NKJV

Good morning fellow disciples.

Wait: To stay or rest in expectation; to stop or remain stationary, till the arrival of some person or event.

As a pastor, leader, teacher, older disciple in the church that you attend do you at times instruct persons to wait for you until you return? Sometimes it’s a physical location that you want them to stay at. Sometimes you don’t want them to move ahead with the planned program until you return. Sometimes you don’t want them to move beyond the parameters defined by the ministry until you have returned.

I am sure that like Moses you would leave persons who can address the needs while you are gone. I pray that these persons are committed to God and they can lead the way God requires while you are away.

Where was Moses going? He was going to spend time with God to receive instructions from Him! It is my prayer that when you tell your fellow disciples to wait on you that you are going to seek God for His direction in both your life and the life of the ministry that you lead or are a part of.

Prayer: Father God, sometimes we don’t know the next move to make. As your people we need Your guidance and we need Your strength. We come to You having humbled ourselves, and with great expectation we ask You to show us what to do.

We will not try to go further than where You have led us thus far. We continue to do the things that You have revealed to us while we wait on You to show us, to lead us, to guide us, and to walk with us into what You will reveal.
