And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, “which,” He said, “you have heard from Me;
Acts 1:4 NKJV
Good morning fellow disciples.
Wait: To stay or rest in expectation; to stop or remain stationary, till the arrival of some person or event.
Stay, remain stationary, cease from the usual activities of life, and rest in expectation for the arrival of the promised Holy Spirit!
Have you obeyed this command? Have you received the promise of the Father that Jesus told us about? Have you received the Holy Spirit?
Do you have a required relationship with God? Have you accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior? Have you given yourself to God, resting in the expectation that He will give you His Holy Spirit?
Prayer: Father God, I put my trust in You. Lord Jesus I accept You as my Lord, Savior, and King. Holy Spirit I have waited in expectation for You to fill me and baptize me so that I can be an effective witness for Christ.
Father God without Your promised Holy Spirit I am nothing. Holy Spirit You make me a part of the kingdom of God and a child of God. I love You Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. I will live my life united with You from now, and throughout eternity. Amen.
