Wait

Wait

Good morning, fellow disciples.

In the previous series we looked at giving praise to God. Psalms 100:4 tells us how to approach God. We are to: “Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; give thanks to Him and bless His name.”

In this series we will examine how we actively wait on God.

Wait is defined as: “to remain stationary in readiness or expectation.”

In Psalms 46:10 God tells us to be still and know that He is God. We are to actively remain stationary in readiness and expectation. We are to know God by developing a relationship with Him through meeting and spending time with Him; and be aware of Him through observation, inquiry, or information.

Have you done this? Have you taken the time to be still, waiting in readiness and expectation to spend time getting to know God?

Have you developed relationship and fellowship with God through meeting and spending time with Him?

Have you come to know God through observation, inquiry, or information?

Prayer: Father God, I love our conversations. I love speaking to You, I love worshiping You and I love praising You. However, my biggest problem in our relationship is waiting on You. I find it so hard to be still. It is hard for me to remain stationary in readiness or expectation.

I love when You speak to me. I am learning that the best part of our conversations is when You speak, and I listen. Help me to wait in expectation for Your voice. I will listen and obey. Help me to learn the art of waiting on You, and help me to teach others how to wait as we progress through this series.

I will be still and know that You are God; You will be exalted among the nations, You will be exalted over the earth, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
