“Timothy, my fellow worker, greets you; so do Lucius and Jason and Sosipater, my kinsmen.” – Romans 16:21 (ESV)
Good morning fellow disciples.
Romans 16:21 provides a simple yet powerful affirmation of Timothy’s ongoing role in Paul’s ministry. Writing to the church in Rome, Paul includes greetings from various individuals, including Timothy, whom he identifies as “my fellow worker.” This brief mention underscores Timothy’s consistent presence, his trusted partnership, and his enduring commitment to the Gospel.
As a disciple, you are called to be a co-laborer with Christ and with other believers, working together to build up the Kingdom of God. Timothy’s example reminds you that your faithfulness, your hard work, and your commitment to the mission will be noticed and valued by those around you. Don’t underestimate the impact of your consistent service and your willingness to work alongside others for a common cause.
This week, take time to express your appreciation for the co-laborers in your life – those who are working alongside you in your church, in your community, or in your family. Let them know that you value their contributions and that you are grateful for their partnership.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, help me to be a faithful and supportive co-laborer in your Kingdom. Give me a heart for teamwork, a spirit of generosity, and a desire to build up those around me. May my life be a testament to your love, your grace, and your desire for unity within your body. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
