Luke 2:5-6 NLT- He took with him Mary, to whom he was engaged, who was now expecting a child. And while they were there, the time came for her baby to be born.
Good morning fellow disciple.
Are you a parent? Do you remember the time surrounding the birth of your first child?
In my case, I had heard everything that persons told me about how wonderful it would be, how scary it would be, and how unprepared I would be even though I was preparing as best as possible.
The day came and none of the scenarios that I had in my mind were fulfilled. It was one complication after another until the child was born.
I can’t imagine what Mary and Joseph went through. They had left their home and journeyed to a new place. They didn’t have proper lodging and they had to deliver their first child in a barn.
Did they have a midwife? Did Joseph have to deliver his first-born child? How scared were they?
Unlike them, I had multiple options for the safe delivery of my first born. They were really unprepared! However, God was with them. He ensured the safe delivery of their child and that he was protected.
No matter how unprepared you are in the circumstances of life, if you look to God, He will take care of you. He will ensure that no matter what happens, you will be able to manage.
Put your faith and trust in God, despite how unprepared you may be!
