Scripture : The words of Jeremiah, the son of Hilkiah, one of the priests living in Anathoth in the territory of Benjamin. Jeremiah 1:1 HCSB
Observation : In this introductory verse we see that what follows are the words of Jeremiah. But, these are not only his words as he also speaks the words that God gave him. Jeremiah reports what God says to him to those that he was sent to.
Jeremiah was the oracle of God who spoke all that god directed him to.
Application : As disciples of Christ we also must speak the words that God gives us! We need to tell God’s story and testify (tell our own story) also, so that others may come to know God !
Prayer : Father God help me to speak not only what I want ,but let me also speak the words that YOU give me. Amen.
