Matthew 26:14-15 NLT
Then Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve disciples, went to the leading priests and asked, “How much will you pay me to betray Jesus to you?” And they gave him thirty pieces of silver.
Good morning fellow disciples.
What is the price for your betrayal of God?
Yes, fellow disciple, I’m talking to you!
Each time you sin against God, you betray the trust that He has for you. Yes, we know that He is faithful and just to cleanse us from all unrighteousness, but what did it cost you?
Did you lose you salvation?
Did you lose a precious relationship?
Did you lose finances, properties, or family members?
How did your sin/betrayal of God affect others?
Judas got 30 pieces of silver to betray Jesus, but his betrayal ended up costing him his physical and eternal life.
As you ponder the times that you have betrayed God, reflect on the price that you have paid and may still be paying.
Fellow disciples, the price you pay for betraying God is too much! Stop sinning against Him!
Prayer: Father God, my betrayals have cost me too much. I no longer want to live outside of Your will. I will not seek the rewards of this world at the expense of my fellowship with You.
Forgive me for betraying You. Restore me to right standing with You. Amen.
