“But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons.” (Galatians 4:4-5)
Good morning fellow disciples.
God wants mankind to live eternally with Him, living holy lives, and ruling over His earthly creation as His sons. This is the inheritance God has for us!
Because of sin mankind could not receive this inheritance. In terms of relationships with God the most esteemed were these three:
1. Abraham was called a friend of God,
2. Moses saw God ‘face to face’ as a friend would, and
3. David was known as a man after God’s own heart.
However, because of sin that leads to death, and the law no one could be a true son of God.
The incarnation of Christ paved the way for our adoption as sons of God. Through His life, death, and resurrection, we have been redeemed and brought into the family of the Almighty.
Hallelujah! Glory to God! We can now receive the inheritance reserved for sons of God!
Let us honor this gift of sonship with lives of gratitude and devotion.
Prayer: Father God, thank You, thank You, thank You, thank You for our inheritance! Amen.
