The Final Hours -The Nonverbal Conversations Part 20

Good morning fellow disciples.

We see that Joseph was not alone as he buried Jesus. Mary Magdalene and Mary, the mother of Joses, were also present at that time.

These two women were attentively observing where Jesus was laid. They did not want to forget where their master was buried. They also saw what Joseph did to Jesus’ body and were probably thinking to themselves or talking among themselves as to what else was needed. After all, the body needed other preparations for a proper burial. This could not be done at this late hour when the Sabbath was about to begin.

What we know for sure about these two women is that they never left Jesus throughout His crucifixion and His burial. They were there from start to finish. Unlike Peter, and the other disciples who ran away, they stood by Jesus during this awful time.

They were truly devoted disciples of Christ!

Are you a devoted disciple of Christ?

How do you express that devotion?

Prayer: Father God, help us to be like these women who never left or forsook Jesus. Amen
