And they struck His head with a staff made of a [bamboo-like] reed and spat on Him and kept bowing their knees in homage to Him. [Isa. 50:6.]
Mark 15:19 AMPC
Good morning fellow disciples.
What do you do when someone speaks to you in a praiseworthy manner and then immediately afterwards they start to tear you down and abuse you verbally?
What would you like to say to persons who have started to meet out painful and demeaning punishment against you?
What do you do when they escalate the severity of what they are doing?
How do you deal with their unfair and unjust punishment?
Prayer: Lord Jesus, as I visualize what You were going through in these passages, my heart goes out to you. As tears well up my Lord, sigh, I wonder, am I really worth it? Did You have to do it? You were innocent Lord, and You got treated like that because of us, because of me! We sinned and You received the punishment!
Emotionally I am a wreck thinking about what was done to You. Spiritually, I am overjoyed because You made it possible for me to be truly alive. Thank You, Lord Jesus! Thank You, Lord Jesus! Thank You for saving me! Amen.
