Matthew 28:20 NLT- Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
Good morning fellow disciples.
Are you teaching others how to be a witness for Jesus Christ?
A witness is defined as: one who has personal knowledge of something.
How do you teach someone to be a witness for Jesus Christ?
Firstly, they need to be taught about Jesus. Secondly, they need to understand who Jesus was and what He did for the world. Thirdly, they need to have a personal knowledge of Jesus Christ by accepting Him as their Lord and Savior.
These can all be accomplished by witnessing to them and discipling them. These new disciples are taught to obey Jesus’ commands.
A fourth component of teaching them is to ask God to fill them with His Holy Spirit. John 14:26 NLT – “But when the Father sends the Advocate as my representative—that is, the Holy Spirit—he will teach you everything and will remind you of everything I have told you.”
Have you been teaching new witnesses?
Prayer: Lord Jesus, I will be a disciple maker! I will teach them to obey Your commands! I will guide them into deeper personal relationship with You! I will ask You to fill them with Your Holy Spirit who will make them effective witnesses for You! Amen.
