“Then the brothers immediately sent Paul off on his way to the sea, but Silas and Timothy remained there [in Berea].” – Acts 17:14 (ESV)
Good morning fellow disciples.
Acts 17:14 underscores Timothy’s commitment to the new believers in Berea. After Paul was forced to flee due to growing opposition from Thessalonian Jews, “the brothers immediately sent Paul off on his way to the sea, but Silas and Timothy remained there.”
As a disciple, you are called to be a source of stability, encouragement, and support to those around you, especially when they are facing challenges or opposition. Timothy’s example reminds you that true leadership often involves staying put, investing in relationships, and nurturing the faith of others, even when it’s difficult or dangerous.
This week, look for opportunities to support and encourage those who are facing challenges in their faith journey. Be a faithful presence in their lives, offer your prayers, and provide them with practical help and encouragement. Let them know that they are not alone and that you are committed to standing with them.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, help me to be a source of strength, encouragement, and support to those around me, especially when they are facing challenges or opposition. Give me the wisdom to know how to best serve them and the courage to stand with them, even when it’s difficult or unpopular. May my life be a reflection of your love, your grace, and your unwavering faithfulness. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
