Good morning, fellow disciples.
In Genesis 28 :10-22 Jacob had an encounter with God during his sleep. He dreamed of a stairway that reached from earth up to heaven, and he saw the angels of God going up and down that stairway. At the top of the stairway, God was standing. He told Jacob that He would make Jacob’s descendants numerous and that he would return to the land that he was running away from. God also told Jacob that He would not leave him until He had given Jacob everything that He had promised him.
Genesis 28:16-17 Then Jacob awoke from his sleep and said, “Surely the Lord is in this place, and I wasn’t even aware of it!” But he was also afraid and said, “What an awesome place this is! It is none other than the house of God, the very gateway to heaven!”
In John 1:51 Jesus tells Nathaniel that He, Jesus, is the stairway to heaven.
We are like Jacob, here on earth, looking to God, who’s at the top of the stairway. In the spirit, we can see the angels of God going up and down the stairway. There is only one stairway that connects us here on earth to God in heaven, and that stairway is Jesus Christ our Lord.
Do you want to meet with the Lord?
There’s only one stairway to reach Him. Accept Jesus Christ as your stairway to heaven! Make Him your Lord, Savior, and King.
Prayer: Lord Jesus, You are the stairway to heaven. Please bridge the gap between me and Father God. Teach me how to live so that I can live forever with You in Heaven. Amen.
