“But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons.” (Galatians 4:4-5)
Good morning fellow disciples.
Would you send you precious beloved son to the most hostile sin infested place you could imagine to save the people living there? Would you send him knowing that they would reject him, abuse him, and then kill him? Would you be willing to make that sacrifice?
God’s purpose for sending His son is to redeem us from sin. Through the sacrifice of Jesus, we have been adopted into God’s family, receiving the full rights and privileges of sonship.
Jesus was a “Son of Light in this dark world”. As God’s beloved Son, Jesus was the one to bring the Gospel of the kingdom of God to this sin torn world.
We are God’s adopted sons! Just like Jesus, we also have the duty and privilege of spreading the Gospel of the Kingdom of God in this sinful world.
Are you doing this?
Prayer: Father God, we are Your sons! We will proclaim your Gospel and let our light shine so that sinners will come to know You as their Father and God. Amen
