Sing from a Place of Desolation

By Andrew Williams

“Sing, O childless woman, you who have never given birth! Break into loud and joyful song, O Jerusalem, you who have never been in labor. For the desolate woman now has more children than the woman who lives with her husband,” says the Lord.
Isaiah 54:1 NLT

Good morning fellow disciples.

Desolation is defined as: a state of complete emptiness or destruction, or great unhappiness or loneliness.

Have you ever been in a place of desolation ?

Are you currently residing in that place of complete emptiness, a destroyed life, a place of great unhappiness, or loneliness?

The Lord says that you must sing! He says that you must break into loud and joyful songs!

Why?

Because you will not stay desolate. You will receive far more than you can imagine. In this passage it says that the woman who has not had a child will have more than one who is married and living with her husband.

God knows what you’re going through. Yes he knows what you’re going through. He sees what is on the other side, and he is telling you to sing now until you receive his blessing !

Prayer: Father God, even though I feel empty, lonely, and unhappy, I know that as I look to you in faith that all these will change. In faith I sing:

“I’ve got the joy, joy, joy, joy,
Down in my heart,
Down in my heart,
Down in my heart;
I’ve got the joy, joy, joy, joy,
Down in my heart,
Down in my heart to stay.

I’ve got the peace that passeth understanding,
Down in my heart,
Down in my heart,
Down in my heart;
I’ve got the peace that passeth understanding,
Down in my heart,
Down in my heart to stay.”

Thank You for blessing me beyond my wildest imagination! Amen.
