“You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.” Jeremiah 29:13 HCSB
Good morning fellow disciples.
Let us define these two very important words.
1. Seek: to go in search of or to look for.
2. Search : to look into or over carefully or thoroughly in an effort to find or discover something.
Yesterday we looked at “you”. Today we are looking at how you should approach your relationship with God. You ought to go in search of God carefully and thoroughly in an effort to discover Him. Discovering Him means we come into right relationship with Him, we fellowship with Him, we learn His ways, we adopt His way of living and we live our lives fully obedient to Him.
Many of us have never really carefully sought to have relationship with God. We have not been thorough in our pursuit for fellowship with Him. In a world where we multitask constantly, it is sad that we either ignore God or try to have relationship and fellowship with Him while attempting to multitask.
That is NOT seeking and searching for God with all our hearts. Is it a wonder that we never really “find Him”! By this I mean that we never really gain that perfect fellowship with Him. We can’t half-heartedly seek God and expect to get the full result.
Prayer : Father God, so many times we have been guilty of not obeying this verse. We have limited how You work in our lives and relate to us because we have not sought You. We repent of being too lazy to put the required effort into our relationship and fellowship with You. Forgive us I pray, and from today onward we will seek You and search diligently for You, our God. Amen
Lord forgive in for not spending quality time with you. I really want to have a deeper relationship with you.
