Scripture : “Thus says the Lord : ‘Stand in the court of the Lord ’s house, and speak to all the cities of Judah, which come to worship in the Lord ’s house, all the words that I command you to speak to them. Do not diminish a word. Perhaps everyone will listen and turn from his evil way, that I may relent concerning the calamity which I purpose to bring on them because of the evil of their doings.’ Jeremiah 26:2-3 NKJV
Observation : We should not hold back any of God’s words that has been given by Him for others, whether it is His written Word or a word given through His Holy Spirit. We need to follow His instuctions carefully. In this passage Jeremiah was instructed to speak to all the cities of Judah by standing in the place where the people would come to worship the Lord.
Speaking God’s Word to others is a way to get them to listen and possibly repent. When we faithfully proclaim God’s Words and persons repent of their sins then God will relent of the punishment He was planning for them.
Application: I will not diminish the message that God has given. I will faithfully proclaim His Words.
Prayer : Lord God, help me to faithfully proclaim Your Word in entirety. Amen
