“I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.” III John 1:4 NKJV
Good morning fellow disciples.
If you are a student or a parent you look forward to seeing a good report card. As a student, you want to ensure that what you have done at school will bring joy to your parents when they see how well you have been doing. As a parent, you would love to see all A’s on your child’s report card. As a teacher, you would be especially pleased to see that all your students have mastered what you have taught them.
As a teacher even when your children, that is your students, progress to another institution you would be especially pleased to see that they are doing well in their studies. When they graduate from school you would be even more pleased to see that they have applied what you have taught them in their lives.
John the apostle is enjoying what he is “seeing on Gaius’ report card”. It may not have been a physical report card, but the report that he got from persons who were coming from Gaius gave him great joy. Fellow disciple, is your report card bringing joy to others?
Prayer: Father God as You look over our report cards it is my prayer that Your words will be this: “It is the greatest joy of my life to hear that my children are consistently living their lives in the ways of truth!” Amen.
Amen
