Scripture: Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. For me to write the same things to you is not tedious, but for you it is safe.
Philippians 3:1 NKJV
Observation: Repeating something can be tedious at times especially when the person that you are speaking to does not seem to be listening or understanding.
We know that children and even adults will learn by doing things over and over.
So, to hear the same thing repeatedly helps us to remember and help us to think more deeply on what is said. It helps us to focus and help us to see how important things are.
1. What do you see repeated in God’s word?
2. What does God repeatedly say to you through His disciples?
3. What does God’s Holy Spirit say to you repeatedly?
4. Do you see how much God wants to be a part of your life by constantly repeating what He wants you to hear?
Application: I will repeat what is needed so that others can learn. I will learn from what someone else constantly repeats to me.
Prayer: Father God, help me to understand what is being said, especially when it is repeated many times. In Your word there are many things that are repeated. Help me not to ignore them because they may sound repetitive, but help me to accept them because You speak them so often to us. Amen
