“And Judas and Silas, who were themselves prophets, encouraged and strengthened the brothers with many words.” – Acts 15:32 (ESV)

Good morning fellow disciples.

Acts 15:32 highlights Silas’ prophetic gift and his impactful ministry in Antioch. After delivering the letter from the Jerusalem Council, “Judas and Silas, who were themselves prophets, encouraged and strengthened the brothers with many words.” This passage underscores the importance of prophetic ministry in edifying the church and the power of encouragement to strengthen believers in their faith.

As a disciple, you may have been given spiritual gifts that can be used to build up and encourage others. Silas’s example reminds you to cultivate your gifts, to use them for God’s glory, and to be a source of strength and encouragement to your fellow believers. Your words, your actions, and your presence can have a profound impact on the lives of those around you.

This week, identify the spiritual gifts that you have been given and seek opportunities to use them to bless others. Be intentional about speaking words of encouragement, offering support, and challenging those around you to grow in their faith. Trust that God will use your gifts to make a difference in the lives of those you touch.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, help me to identify and cultivate the spiritual gifts that you have given me. Empower me to use them to bless others and to be a source of strength and encouragement in their lives. May my words and actions be a reflection of your love, your grace, and your power. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
