1 Timothy 2:1-2 – “I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people—for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.”
Good morning fellow disciples.
In a world that is increasingly polarized and conflicted, the need for God’s people to persistently pray for our leaders has never been greater. By doing so, we not only fulfill a biblical mandate, but we also position ourselves to experience the peace, stability, and spiritual vitality that can flow from righteous leadership.
Our leaders need guidance, and it is our prayers, petitions, and intercessions for them that invites God to act in their lives.
We should earnestly seek that God would grant them wisdom, discernment, and integrity in the execution of their duties. We should ask God to soften their hearts, open their eyes to truth, and empower them to make choices that align with His will and promote the flourishing of society.
Let us be unwavering in our commitment to pray for our leaders.
Prayer: Father God, we thank You for those who are in positions of authority. We ask You to bless them, guide them, and to protect them. Give them the wisdom, knowledge and understanding that they need to take the wise decisions, that will lead to a more peaceful, flourishing, and godly society. Amen.
