1 John 4:7-8 – “Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.”
Good morning fellow disciples.
1 John 4:7-8 reminds us that love comes from God and that anyone who loves has been born of God. Many of us do not truly know what it means to be loved, nor have we experienced true love in our daily lives. To love others, we need to experience God’s love.
Prayer is a powerful tool for experiencing God’s love. It’s a way to connect with Him, to express our need for His love, and to invite His presence into our lives. When we pray, we acknowledge our dependence on Him and allow His love to fill us.
We can pray for a deeper understanding and experience of God’s love. We can ask Him to reveal His love to us in new and profound ways, to help us grasp the depth of His affection for us, and to empower us to love others as He loves us.
Fellow disciples, when we show love to others, we demonstrate that we have been born of God and know God.
Are you showing love to your fellow disciples?
Remember, “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres” (1 Corinthians 13:4-7).
Prayer: Father God, I will continue to fellowship with You through prayer so that I will know You more. I love my family in Christ, and I want to love them unconditionally. Teach me Your ways, Lord, so that I can love them the way You do! Amen.
