Prayer as Conversation

By Andrew Williams

Psalm 145:18 – “The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.”

Good morning fellow disciples.

Prayer at its root is simply having a conversation with God!

A conversation is a talk between two or more people in which thoughts, feelings, and ideas are expressed, questions are asked and answered, or news and information is exchanged.

Prayer is a two-way conversation with God, it’s not just a list of requests to God.

“The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.”

God is near to you when you call on Him. Prayer is a time of intimacy with God. God loves it when you spend time with Him.

You need to be present and attentive during prayer. Don’t be distracted! Focus on your conversation with God!

Prayer is how you will foster a deeper relationship with God. Are your conversations with God drawing you closer to Him every time you pray?

Prayer: Father God, I want to know You more and fellowship deeper with You through prayer! Amen.
