After they went down there, they prayed for them, so the Samaritans might receive the Holy Spirit.

Then Peter and John laid their hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit.

Good morning fellow disciples.
It is God’s desire for us to have His Holy Spirit living in us. Holy Spirit is ready and waiting to inhabit His temple, which is our bodies, but for Him to inhabit us, we have to receive Him.
John the Baptist said that Jesus was the one who baptized with the Holy Spirit and with fire, and Jesus himself said that “it is expedient that I go, because if I don’t go, then you can’t receive the gift of the Father.” That gift is God’s Holy Spirit.
Do you have Him? Have you been baptized by Him? Have you been infilled by Him? Have you received Him?
There are many ways that the Bible shows us that persons received the Holy Spirit. Jesus breathed on his disciples and said, ‘receive the Holy Spirit”. On the day of Pentecost, while they were praying and worshiping, they got filled with the Holy Spirit. There are many other examples in the Bible.
I have two questions for you today.
1. Have you received the Holy Spirit?
2. Do you want to receive the Holy Spirit?
Well, first you have to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. You have to repent of your sins and become a part of the family of God. Then the One who baptizes with the Holy Spirit will baptize you and fill you with His Holy Spirit. That person is the Lord Jesus Christ.
There are times when someone will pray for you to receive the Holy Spirit so that you will be empowered to be effective witnesses for Christ.
Prayer: Father God for all your blood washed ones, for all those who repented of their sins and have surrendered their lives to You, fill them with your Holy Spirit, Lord.
Pour out your Spirit upon them and fill them with your Holy Spirit!
To my fellow disciples I say: “In the Name of Jesus, RECEIVE THE HOLY SPIRIT!”
