Pray like Martha

By Andrew Williams

Good morning fellow disciples.

Prayer is simply having a conversation with God. We talk to God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit!

Are you hurt? Are you in need of a miracle? Are you in need of a visitation from God?

Let us converse with the Son of God like Martha did in John 11:21‭-‬27‭ NLT‬‬‬‬‬‬:

Martha said to Jesus, “Lord, if only you had been here, my brother would not have died. But even now I know that God will give you whatever you ask.”

Jesus told her, “Your brother will rise again.”

“Yes,” Martha said, “he will rise when everyone else rises, at the last day.”

Jesus told her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying. Everyone who lives in me and believes in me will never ever die. Do you believe this, Martha?”

“Yes, Lord,” she told him. “I have always believed you are the Messiah, the Son of God, the one who has come into the world from God.”

Prayer: Lord Jesus, I am hurt and angry that You didn’t show up when I wanted You to. Because of Your delay, the situation was not solved.

I believe in You! I know that You are the Son of God. Because of You I have eternal life, I am saved, healed, and delivered. Please perform the miracle that I need!

Even though my situation seems worse, even now I know that God will give You whatever You ask. Thank You for showing up now. You have brought healing and peace to my aching heart. Amen.
