Good morning fellow disciples.
Prayer is simply having a conversation with God. What is it that you really desire? How much are you willing to sacrifice to God to receive your heart’s desire?
Hannah was willing to give up the very thing she asked God for.
1 Samuel 1:10-11 NLT:
Hannah was in deep anguish, crying bitterly as she prayed to the Lord. And she made this vow:
“O Lord of Heaven’s Armies, if you will look upon my sorrow and answer my prayer and give me a son, then I will give him back to you. He will be yours for his entire lifetime, and as a sign that he has been dedicated to the Lord, his hair will never be cut.”
Prayer: Father God, if You will save, deliver, and heal me, I will serve You wholeheartedly! I will give up everything this world has to offer me and do whatever You say. I will go where you send me, say what You tell me, and serve those who need You. Amen.
God is our promise keeper and the light in our darkness.
His response to our prayer will always be enough to carry us through.
This is such a thought provoking devotional.
