Good morning fellow disciples.
For the month of December we will be spending time in prayer daily. As we look to follow our Lord and Master, Jesus Christ, we recall that His disciples saw him praying and asked Him to teach them how to pray.
Jesus simulated a lifestyle of prayer and a lifestyle of effective powerful ministry. His prayer life as mentioned in the Bible, is that of early morning and late night solitary prayer sessions with Father God.
His disciples saw Him praying and they also knew that He spent time in prayer away from them. His disciples saw how effective He was and how miracles, signs, and wonders followed His teaching and His word. They also wanted to be like Him.
Do you want to be like Jesus Christ today? Let us spend time in prayer. As we begin this month of prayerful reflections, today, let us meditate on the model prayer that Jesus taught his disciples.
Pray like this: ‘Our Beloved Father, dwelling in the heavenly realms, may the glory of your name be the center on which our lives turn. Manifest your kingdom realm, and cause your every purpose to be fulfilled on earth, just as it is in heaven. We acknowledge you as our Provider of all we need each day. Forgive us the wrongs we have done as we ourselves release forgiveness to those who have wronged us. Rescue us every time we face tribulation and set us free from evil. For you are the King who rules with power and glory forever. Amen.’
