Praise the Lord, Oh My Soul

By Andrew Williams

BLESS (AFFECTIONATELY, gratefully praise) the Lord, O my soul; and all that is [deepest] within me, bless His holy name!
Psalm 103:1 AMPC
Praise the Lord, Oh My Soul

Good morning fellow disciples.

Praise is defined as: the expression of respect and gratitude as an act of worship; and to glorify (a god or saint) especially by the attribution of perfections.

We can’t see our souls, or the things that are deepest within us. However, we do know that our soul speaks of our thoughts, desires, inclinations, and our wills. These are the things that make up most of our lives. Every moment of our lives are determined and controlled by our souls.

In this verse our souls are commanded to bless, affectionately and gratefully praise the Lord.

Are you doing this?

Are you affectionately and the gratefully praising God with your thoughts?

Are you affectionately and the gratefully praising God with your desires?

Are you affectionately and the gratefully praising God with your inclinations?

Are you affectionately and the gratefully praising God with your will?

Prayer: Father God, Your name is Holy. You are worthy to be praised. I will affectionately and gratefully praise You from the depths of my heart, and with all my soul. Amen.
