Scripture : “Praise the Lord! I will praise the Lord with my whole heart, In the assembly of the upright and in the congregation.” Psalms 111:1 NKJV
Observation : WITH my whole heart( the essential or most vital part of myself) I will praise the Lord. This means that my praise is all encompassing and I’m not holding anything back. My God is worthy of the highest praise and I will give it to Him.
WHERE – 1. In the assembly of the upright. I will praise God among those who are also saved and are living for Him. We should always fellowship with our brothers and sisters to bring unified praises to our God.
2. In the congregation. For me the congregation represents a mixture of the saved (Christian) and unsaved ( non Christian) . Some of us are afraid to praise God wholeheartedly among the unsaved. Yet the psalmist says he will do it here.
Application : I will praise God with my all. I will praise Him among other believers. I will praise Him everywhere, without being concerned about who is in the congregation.
Prayer : Father God You are worthy of the highest praise. It doesn’t matter where I am or who I am with, I will praise You with my entire being. I will not look at man and hold back my praises to You. It’s all about You God, and I will witness to the world and show who You are to the world by praising You with my whole heart. Accept my praises I pray, and when people see me giving You praise, may they come to know You as Lord and savior and King. Amen.
