I waited patiently for the Lord; He inclined to me and heard my cry. He lifted me up from the pit of despair, out of the miry clay; He set my feet upon a rock, and made my footsteps firm. He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear and put their trust in the Lord.
Psalms 40:1-3 BSB
Good morning, fellow disciples.
Wait is defined as: “to remain stationary in readiness or expectation.”
Have you ever been so sad, distraught, overwhelmed, or felt so hopeless that all you could do is cry out to God. Nothing that you or anyone else could do would help you out of your situation.
No matter how long it took, you kept your focus on God and He responded to your faith and trust in Him. You expected Him to respond, and your wait was rewarded!
His response brought you out of your desperate situation! He placed you where you could now stand, and then start walking confidently with Him. Everything changed and now you have a new testimony. You could now sing praises to God!
Your testimony in words, and in action now shows those around you how awesome your God is!
Isn’t waiting on God marvelous!
Isn’t His response life changing?
Prayer: Father God, I will sing a new song to You. I will testify of Your greatness and Your love for me. I will praise You for never leaving or forsaking me during my times of despair. I love You God. Thank You for being ever present in my life. Amen.
