Come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the Lord our Maker.
Psalms 95:6 HCSB
Good morning fellow disciples.
The psalmist instructs us to bow down and kneel before the Lord our Maker. The Bible gives many examples of persons worshipping God in these ways.
We show reverence to God when we bow down while giving thanks and praise to Him, just like Daniel did in Daniel 6:10 HCSB:
“When Daniel learned that the document had been signed, he went into his house. The windows in its upper room opened toward Jerusalem, and three times a day he got down on his knees, prayed, and gave thanks to his God, just as he had done before.”
The wise men fell on their knees in worship after the found Jesus after they searched assiduously to find Him.
“Entering the house, they saw the child with Mary His mother, and falling to their knees, they worshiped Him. Then they opened their treasures and presented Him with gifts: gold, frankincense, and myrrh.” Matthew 2:11 HCSB
Have you been searching for God, for deeper relationship with Him? Have you found Him? How will you worship Him?
Mark 1:40-42 HCSB “Then a man with a serious skin disease came to Him and, on his knees, begged Him: “If You are willing, You can make me clean.” Moved with compassion, Jesus reached out His hand and touched him. “I am willing,” He told him. “Be made clean.” Immediately the disease left him, and he was healed.”
When we bow before God and petition Him, God is moved with compassion. Let us kneel before God as we pour out our hearts before Him and worship Him wholeheartedly!
If it’s not your regular posture in prayer, I implore you today to worship God bowing down kneeling.
Prayer: Father God, I fall on my knees in worship before You. No one else is worthy of receiving this posture from me. All honor, all glory, all praise , all worship belongs to You Lord.
Like the woman with the bottle of perfume I am in tears on my knees as I honor You with the little that I have to give. Please accept the worship I offer. I’m in awe of You as I kneel before You and as I experience the glory of Your presence!
Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
Amen, and Amen, and, AMEN !
