Scripture : “I thank my God, making mention of you always in my prayers, hearing of your love and faith which you have toward the Lord Jesus and toward all the saints, ” Philemon 1:4-5 NKJV
Observation : As mentioned yesterday Paul was thankful at all times in his prayers for this small Church. Today we find out why. It was because of the love and faith that they had for Christ Jesus, and towards all the saints. This is indeed something to be thankful for at all times.
They were exemplifying the top two commandments: Love God above all and, love your neighbor as yourself. Oh how great it is to walk in love ! All Christians should rejoice when we see others behaving like the members of this church.
Application : I will walk in love and faith towards my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and I will have love for my Christian brothers.
Prayer : Father God help me to be full of faith and love, and help me to show these towards other persons. As I do so may signs, wonders, and miracles follow me as I proclaim Your good news, amen.
