Scripture : “whom I wished to keep with me, that on your behalf he might minister to me in my chains for the gospel.” Philemon 1:13 NKJV
Observation : Paul’s need for care was being administered by Onesimus but Paul was willing to send him back to his former master. I believe Onesimus was doing a great service to Paul, but as his pastor Paul knew that Onesimus would be of greater service to the kingdom of God if he returned to Philemon.
Are you willing to give up your comfort so that others may be blessed? What are you willing to sacrifice for the kingdom of God to advance?
Application : I will think more about the needs of the kingdom than I do for my needs.
Prayer : Father God help me to put your kingdom first, as I serve others, disciple others, and care for others. Amen.
