Petition the King

And while they were drinking wine, the king said to Esther, “Now tell me what you really want. What is your request? I will give it to you, even if it is half the kingdom!” Esther replied, “This is my request and deepest wish.
Esther 5:6‭-‬7 NLT‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬

Good morning fellow disciples.

Petition: a request made for something desired, especially a respectful or humble request, as to a superior or to one of those in authority.

The king loved Esther his wife very much. The king loved her so much that he even promised to give half of the Kingdom to her. Esther was a Jew, and along with the rest of her Jewish brethren, she was condemned to death by a edict written by Haman the king’s right hand man.

In order to overturn this edict, Esther was about to make a request, a petition to the king.

Who is the king in your life?

What is the request and deepest wish that you would want to petition your king with?

Our King is Jesus Christ, the King of kings. Do you know that He loves you more than anything? He has promised us that if we ask the Father anything in His name, He will give it to us.

With this assurance, are you now ready to petition the King of kings?

Prayer: Lord Jesus, You are the King in my life. I know without a shadow of a doubt that You love me. I know that Your Father will give me everything I need according to Your riches in glory. So, I come boldly to You now and ask You to give me all that I need. I will honor You and glorify You with everything that You give me. Amen.
