Acts of the Apostles 8:3 ‘But Saul was going everywhere to destroy the church. He went from house to house, dragging out both men and women to throw them into prison. ‘
Good morning fellow disciples.
If you are faithful in doing the work of God, expect temptations, trials, and persecution. The devil and his kingdom will not sit idly by as you advance the Kingdom of God. The enemy will use anyone who is available to keep you from being God’s faithful witnesses. He will use people who are outright sinners or even those who are members of religious organizations.
In this passage, we see that Saul went about everywhere to destroy the church. Notice that he did not wait until they were in the synagogues. He went from home to home and took them out and put them in prison.
Have you ever been persecuted for your belief in Jesus Christ?
Will you continue to proclaim Jesus as your Lord and Master even in the face of being placed in prison or put to death?
Prayer: Lord Jesus, I will remain faithful to You no matter how much I’m persecuted. Whether it be snide remarks, belittling, imprisonment, or death, I will not stop being Your witness. Amen.
