Ephesians 5:32 NLT -This is a great mystery, but it is an illustration of the way Christ and the church are one.
Good morning fellow disciples.
In Ephesians Paul tells us to live pure lives like Christ did, to live by the Holy Spirit’s power, and to live united with Christ like a husband and wife.
As the church we are to follow Christ’s example: ‘Imitate God, therefore, in everything you do, because you are his dear children. Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ. He loved us and offered himself as a sacrifice for us, a pleasing aroma to God.’ Ephesians 5:1-2.
As a body we need to submit to one another: ‘And further, submit to one another out of reverence for Christ.’ Ephesians 5:21
The Church is the bride of Christ. We are united as one! With Christ as our example, we also must live just as He did. Our lives must be pure, pleasing to God, and be led by the Holy Spirit. Our life as His Church must be of oneness with Him.
