James 3:15 NLT- For jealousy and selfishness are not God’s kind of wisdom. Such things are earthly, unspiritual, and demonic.
Good morning fellow disciples.
Are you jealous and selfish?
Listen! Jealousy and selfishness are not of God!
Jealous: feeling or showing an envious resentment of someone or their achievements, possessions, or perceived advantages.
Selfishness: lack of consideration for other people.
If you are a disciple of Jesus Christ, you should not be showing these characteristics. These are traits of ungodly, fleshly, carnal persons. True disciples of Christ have been and are being transformed into the image of Christ. True disciples are loving, caring, and compassionate.
As you do some self-reflection today, if you detect jealousy and selfishness in yourself, you need to get rid of them.
Confess you sins to God, and repent.
Prayer: Father God, jealousy, and selfishness are earthly, unspiritual, and demonic. I don’t want them to be a part of me. Remove them from me Lord! Fill me with your Holy Spirit I pray, and let Your Godly love and compassion be seen in me, amen.
