My Soul Waits

I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, And in His word I do hope.
Psalms 130:5 NKJV

Wait: To stay or rest in expectation; to stop or remain stationary, till the arrival of some person or event.

Soul may be defined as the spiritual part of a person that is believed to give life to the body and in many religions is believed to live forever.

The part of me that gives life is waiting on the Lord. My soul gives life to my body and together they are waiting on the Lord. With great expectation I am waiting on God!

I want to know God with all of my being. I want to serve God with all of my being. I want to experience everything of God. As time passes I want deeper and deeper fellowship with God. I want to live with God forever.

The part of me that lives forever is waiting on God. Lord God, I want to worship You like the living creatures and the elders do in heaven, as seen in Revelation 4:2‭, ‬6‭, ‬8‭-‬11 TPT:

Instantly I was taken into the spirit realm, and behold—I saw a heavenly throne being set in place and someone seated upon it. And in front of the throne there was pavement like a crystal sea of glass.

Around the throne and on each side stood four living creatures, full of eyes in front and behind. Each of the four living creatures had six wings, full of eyes all around and under their wings. They worshiped without ceasing, day and night, singing, “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God, the Almighty! The Was, the Is, and the Coming!”

And whenever the living creatures gave glory, honor, and thanks to the One who is enthroned and who lives forever and ever, the twenty-four elders fell facedown before the one seated on the throne and they worshiped the one who lives forever and ever. And they surrendered their crowns before the throne, singing: “You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory, honor, and power, for you created all things, and for your pleasure they were created and exist.”

Prayer: Father God, my soul is waiting in the expectation that I will be in Your presence forever worshipping You! Teach me through Your Holy scriptures how to live worshipping and praising You. Amen.
