Good morning fellow disciples.
This week we will be looking at the theme, God’s Purpose for My Life.
Purpose is defined as “the reason for which something is done or created or for which something exists.” We were created by Almighty God In His image for His purpose. The question we will be asking this week is, “What is God’s purpose for my life?”
Then Jesus came near and said to them, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20 HCSB
Make disciples! A disciple of Jesus Christ is one who accepts and assists in spreading the teachings of Christ. Jesus taught the gospel of the kingdom of God and emulated the type of life that we should live as kingdom disciples. So to make a disciple is to teach and show someone how to live like Christ and to preach and teach the gospel of the kingdom of God.
Are you a disciple of Christ? Are you obeying Jesus’ command to go and make disciples of all the nations? Have you ever made a disciple?
Prayer: Father God, when it comes to being obedient disciples many of us are failing. We fail even more miserably at making disciples who truly emulate Jesus Christ in word and deeds. Father God help us to do as Jesus said :
Go- Make Disciples,
Go- baptize
Go- teach them to observe( do) everything that Jesus commanded.
We know that Jesus went about doing good because You were with Him Lord God, and because Jesus’ Holy Spirit is with us always, we can do the same. Help us not to slack off in our obedience and service to You Lord. Instill in us the desires to be your faithful disciples who will faithfully make other disciples, we pray in Jesus’ Name, amen.
